About the Journal
The Journal of Community Development and Empowerment (JoCDE) is a peer-reviewed, open-access academic journal dedicated to publishing scholarly articles derived from community service, community engagement, and empowerment-based activities. The journal provides a platform for lecturers, researchers, practitioners, and institutions to disseminate evidence-based community development practices that address real social, educational, economic, technological, environmental, legal, health, agricultural, marine, and literacy-related challenges.
JoCDE welcomes interdisciplinary manuscripts that demonstrate clear community impact, sustainability, innovation, and practical contribution to society. The journal particularly encourages articles that present replicable models of community empowerment, technology-based solutions, community literacy enhancement, livelihood improvement, environmental sustainability, and collaborative partnerships between academic institutions and communities.
Published in English through the Open Journal Systems platform, JoCDE applies a double-blind peer-review process to ensure academic quality, originality, methodological rigor, ethical compliance, and relevance to community development. The journal is published twice a year and aims to increase the visibility of community service outcomes at local, national, and international levels.
