The productivity of the soybean peeling process at the Tempe Cap Melati SME was improved through training and the application of appropriate technology in the form of an electric dynamo-based soybean peeling machine. The main problem faced by partners was low production efficiency due to the use of manual tools that took longer, had limited capacity, and depended on operator power. The activity methods included socialization, operational training of tools, practice using the machine, productivity measurement, and comparative evaluation between manual and machine tools. Testing was carried out through three trials on each peeling method. The measurement results showed that the average peeling time using the manual tool was 38 seconds per bucket, while using the machine required an average time of 23 seconds per bucket. In addition, the average productivity of the manual tool was 2.7 kg/minute, while the soybean peeling machine reached 5.2 kg/minute. Based on these results, the use of the machine was able to increase productivity by 92.59% and reduce peeling time by 39.47%. These results indicate that the implementation of the soybean peeling machine is effective in accelerating the production process, reducing manual workload, and increasing the production capacity of SMEs. Thus, this appropriate technology is suitable for application to the Tempe Cap Melati SME to support business sustainability and fulfill tempe supply needs more efficiently
