Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • I confirm this work is original, is not under consideration elsewhere, fits JADTI's Focus and Scope, and offers a clear technological or technology-evaluation contribution.
  • I have used the appropriate JADTI Microsoft Word (.docx) template and submitted a clean, anonymous review file and separate title page. The manuscript uses A4 paper, 2.5 cm margins, Cambria 11 pt, and 1.15 line spacing.
  • The title, abstract (150–250 words), 4–6 keywords, full author information, and APA 7 citations/references are complete, with DOI/URL links where available. Each table and figure is numbered and referenced, and any permissions are documented.
  • Relevant ethical approvals or exemptions and informed consent arrangements are stated. Funding, conflicts of interest, contributions, data/code availability, and material AI use are disclosed.
  • All authors have reviewed and approved this submission. I understand that editorial decisions are based on peer review and that a journal partnership does not guarantee acceptance.

Author Guidelines

Author Guidelines

JADTI accepts original manuscripts in English that fit the journal's Focus and Scope. All submissions must be made through the official OJS submission system after the journal opens for submissions. Authors should use the relevant JADTI manuscript template.

1. General Requirements

  • Manuscripts must be original, unpublished, and not simultaneously under consideration elsewhere.
  • Accepted file format: Microsoft Word (.docx); provide additional files for datasets, instruments, software, or figures when appropriate.
  • Recommended length: 5,000–8,000 words, excluding references and appendices. Exceptions may be considered for systematic reviews with substantial evidence synthesis.
  • Use A4 paper, 2.5 cm margins, a single column, Cambria 11 pt, and 1.15 line spacing in the submission template.
  • Write clearly in academic English. Use SI units and explain all abbreviations at first mention.
  • Use a concise, informative title (approximately 12–18 words recommended), a 150–250-word abstract, and 4–6 keywords.
  • References and in-text citations must follow APA 7th edition. Include DOIs as links where available, and ensure all cited sources are verifiable.

2. Manuscript Structure

Original research or software development studies: Title; Abstract; Keywords; Introduction (context, research gap, objectives, contribution); Methods (research design, technology stack/system design, participants or datasets, instruments, procedures, evaluation metrics, ethics); Results; Discussion; Conclusions; Acknowledgments (if any); Funding; Conflict of Interest; Data/Code Availability; AI Use Disclosure (if applicable); References; Appendices (if any).

Systematic reviews: Title; Abstract; Keywords; Introduction; Methods (protocol, databases, search strategies, eligibility criteria, screening, appraisal, synthesis); Results; Discussion; Limitations; Conclusions; Declarations; References. Follow PRISMA 2020 where applicable and provide the completed checklist and flow diagram.

3. Technology-Based Research Reporting

Software and application studies must report the research problem, system requirements, architecture or conceptual design, implementation approach, technical environment, test procedures, and evaluation results. Where applicable, include usability metrics, task success rates, performance measurements, model evaluation metrics, or comparative benchmarks. explains how the developed system advances existing approaches.

A system-development article should not merely contain screenshots or feature descriptions. Report meaningful validation (for example, expert evaluation, functional testing, usability studies, experimental comparison, or field implementation) and acknowledge limitations.

4. Figures, Tables, and Equations

Number and cite figures and tables in sequence. Use editable tables, legible figures, informative captions, and appropriate permissions for reused content. Provide accessibility descriptions or alternative text when possible. Define symbols and number equations where needed.

5. Ethical and Research Transparency Requirements

When human participants are involved, explain approval or exemption from the appropriate ethics body, informed consent, and confidentiality procedures. Do not disclose personal or identifiable data without a lawful basis and necessary permissions. Report funding, all competing interests, and data/code availability. Ensure that research findings can be checked without compromising participant privacy.

6. Authorship and AI Use

All listed authors must have made substantive contributions and approved the final manuscript. Do not list an AI tool as an author. Disclose any generative-AI assistance that materially supported writing, coding, analysis, images, or research procedures, identifying the tool and purpose. Authors remain fully responsible for accuracy, originality, and confidentiality.

7. Double-Anonymized Review Files

Submit (1) a title page with all author names, affiliations, corresponding-author email, ORCID (if available), funding, and acknowledgments; and (2) an anonymized manuscript without author names, identifying document properties, or self-identifying statements. The journal may request additional supporting files.

8. Submission Checklist

  • The work fits the Focus and Scope and is not submitted or published elsewhere.
  • The appropriate JADTI Word template has been followed.
  • The title page and anonymized manuscript are uploaded separately.
  • The abstract, keywords, author metadata, and references are complete and consistent.
  • Ethical permissions, funding, competing interests, AI use, and data/code availability are disclosed.
  • Figures/tables are cited and permissions obtained where needed.
  • All authors have approved the submitted version.

9. Editorial Decisions

An initial technical and editorial screening is followed, for eligible manuscripts, by external peer review. Possible decisions include accept, minor revision, major revision, resubmit for review, or reject. Acceptance is based on scholarly quality, relevance, and research integrity; it is not guaranteed by payment, institutional partnership, or editorial affiliation.
